Community Resource Center

"The small hinge that swings the big door of Community Advocacy”

The Community Resource Center is here for ALL members of our Community!

The Core Concept

Our core concept is based on Maslow’s Humanistic Theory:

“The Hierarchy of Needs”

In addition, we have considered the writings and published material of Emile Durkheim for historic perspective, and Jack Klott for current day perspective.

Our goals

Our goal is to incorporate “evidence based, best practice” methods in each of our areas of focus.

Progress

We also find value in developing innovative region-specific practices with the direct input from local, state, and national agencies of behavioral health.

The “Eight Dimensions of Wellness”

(Swarbrick, M. (2006). A Wellness Approach. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Journal, 29(4). 311-314), as well as the 10 Guiding Principles of Recovery (SAMHSA, Publication ID: PEP12-RECDEF) are our other evidence based best practice resources on which we orient and conduct our operations.
